Excluding real dry carbon body panels and engine swaps because that’s not fair.
For my Si, a CT Supercharger ranges anywhere between $3400-$3750 and is to my knowledge, the most expensive thing I can buy for my car. While I’d LOVE to have a supercharged Civic (builds push 300 hp to the wheels), I can think of millions of other things I should spend $3k on.

Probably cheating, but $16k “power kit”.

There’s a guy in Belgium who is making fiberglass 222D replica body kits. It’s a hair under 4,000 Euro.

I have an E39. Pick any part on the car and that’s your answer. It’s hard to nail down any single one as most expensive. Forget body panels, a carbon fiber interior trim kit alone is like $1,200.

That pic is an actual 222D, but you get the idea. His kit is pretty faithful though.

The most expensive upgrade is a new 3-Series because I hate the Passat.

Looks like the most expensive item for a ’95 Mustang is also a supercharger kit. $5112.99 on Summit.

Turbo kit, I found one that is 4600 dollars, which is probably what I have invested in my entire car. And that’s not including an ECU and upgrading to a 2g MAF, and head studs.

Bosworth long block for a paltry $13K Sti engine so add on some more things, a drivetrain, to switch from the wrx motor.
Or grab this $15k short block and I would have to use my 2.0L heads

RMS makes a supercharger kit to order for the E46 M3, Stage 3 is $13k. It includes forged internals and all of that jazz. Puts out around 700 horsepower.

I’d think its about the same thing as for your Civic. I think Jackson Racing had a SC set for the B18, which was around 5k or 5.5k in Euros.

Theoretically, if you owned a donor Mustang, you could pick this:

If 13k was the “installed”price (it isn’t) I might consider it in a decade or two lol. I’m not ever planning on getting rid of the E46 and it would be neat to have one that silly fast.

Not sure if this counts or not, but the 6speed manual swap kit from ADTR:

Kenne Bell once made a supercharger for the WJ Grand Cherokee. Actually I think it was for all Chrysler 4.7 V8's. If you can find one, it’s used, and either needs to be rebuilt or the price is $3K-$5K.
Alternatively, Iron Rock Off Road offers a 6.5" 4 Link Long Arm lift which starts around $2,500, and can be optioned up to about $2.850.

My best friend strapped a supercharger on his BRZ and it was Awesome! Then he put a super stiff suspension on it and ruined it lol.

For an individual part, I would have to say the TRD supercharger for the 4.7L V8. These are coming in at roughly $5,000 if you can even find one. After that, probably Icon suspension or a rear bumper setup, each of which can be several thousand.

In the vein of your original post, VF Engineering will sell me a $4,500 supercharger kit that adds an extra 100hp.

For the same price as that kit for my 528i I could buy a decently sorted 540i that has the same power as the kit.

My soon to be M2 has an Akrapovic catback that goes for about $6k. Don’t think it’s the most expensive aftermarket part but it’s utterly ridiculous.

probably turbo kits for Miata. there are a bunch of different ones out there.
![]() 08/17/2017 at 16:23 |

Without going FI on an E46 M3 the most expensive parts were either a real CSL intake for about $5000 with all the accessories and tune OR a rear diff swap to the BMW Motorsports 3.91 or 4.10 which was about the same if I recall correctly.
![]() 08/17/2017 at 16:26 |
